Conceptualized as a pilot program in 2012, the Summer Institute is an international joint program established and administered by the 501(c)(3) International Strategy and Reconciliation Foundation devoted to humanitarian, education and public health programs across Asia with its focus on developing countries. The PSI program is supported by members of American Association for Public Opinion Research, Statistics without Borders of the American Statistical Association, American Evaluation Association, American Association for the Advancement of Science, World Association for Public Opinion Research and of European Survey Research Association.

The Mission of the Summer Institute

  • To deliver pragmatic training for those who expect to use survey methods and data science in their professions in business, international trade, public health, education, agriculture, natural resources, law, medicine, nursing, and other scientific professional domains
  • To promote creative and innovative ideas on the frontier of interdisciplinary research in partnership with international professional associations and research institutions as well as scholars of various disciplines
